Gladys Young Justis

Gladys Young Justis, 82, wife of the late Brooks T. Justis and a resident of Exmore, formerly of Parksley, passed away Monday, April 21, 2008 at the Arcadia Nursing Center. A native of Parksley, Mrs. Justis was the daughter of the late Leonard and Myrtle Annis Young. Mrs. Justis attended the Exmore Baptist Church. Survivors include two children, Rose J. Stream and her husband Lester of Crisfield, MD and Larry Lee Justis and his wife Sherri of Parksley, Va.; two sisters, Susan Jester and Bernice Hargis, both of Chincoteague; five grandchildren, Troy Justis, Tana Parker, Candee Reid, Glen Parker, Lisa Bowden, Ronald Justis, and 13 great grandchildren. Mrs. Justis was predeceased by a son, Brooks T. "Sonny" Justis and a great grandson, Andrew Justis. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 2:00 pm from the graveside of the Parksley Cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan Carpenter officiating. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30.
