George Ruth

George Edward Ruth, 40, a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in Norfolk, VA. A native of Norfolk, he was the son of the late George Edward Jones and Deborah Kay Cassell of Chesapeake, VA. He was an Installation Technician for Shore Vault & Precast, loved sports and was an avid Redskins Fan.

In addition to his loving mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Walter DeBaise of Chesapeake; uncle, Dennis Ruth of Norfolk; close friends, Leon, Sueann, Jeremy, Angela, Amelia, and Jim; numerous other friends from both the Eastern Shore and Norfolk; and his favorite four legged companion, Checkers. He was predeceased by his sister, Rachel Manuel.

To honor his request funeral services were private. In lieu of flowers, his family and friends ask that you take a moment to help out a homeless person with something to eat or just a kind word and a friendly smile.
