George Milton Peppler, Sr.

Mr. George Milton Peppler, Sr., 79, and a resident of Wachapreague, Virginia passed away Monday, October, 31, 2005 at his residence. A native of Wachapreague he was the son of the late Norman Horner Peppler, Sr. and the late Florence Landon Peppler. He was a retired Tug Boat Captain for the Army Corps of Engineers, an Officer of the Merchant Marines, and a charter boat captain. He was a member of Ocean Masonic Lodge #116 AF&AM of Wachapreague. Mr. Peppler is survived by three sons, George Milton Peppler, Jr. and his wife Sue of Jupiter, Fla., Kurt Peppler and his wife Suzanna of Wilmington, De., Vic Peppler of Wachapreague, Va.; four sisters, Joan P. Campbell and Jeanette P. Michener both of Wooster, Ohio, Elsie P. Pase of Seaford, De., Effie P. Hickman of Parksley, Va.; three grandchildren, Kerisa and Eric Peppler of Wilmington, De., and Steve O'Neill of Jupiter, Fla.; nine nieces and three nephews. A Memorial service will be conducted Saturday, November 12, 2005 at 1:00 PM from Ocean View Methodist Church with the Rev. Sallye Bowen officiating. A reception will follow at the Island House Restaurant in Wachapreague. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 316, Parksley, Va. 23421.
