Gene C. Allums

Gene C. Allums, 76, a resident of Capeville, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005 at Heritage Hall Health Care in Nassawadox, Virginia. A native of Dora, Alabama, Mr. Allums was the son of the late Alfred Clayton Allums and the late Hattie Center Allums. He was retired from the Cape Charles Air Force Base as a steam plant operator. He was a member of the New Temple Baptist Church in Dora, Alabama.

Mr. Allums is survived by his wife Betty Gaylor Allums, a daughter, Rhonda A. Annon and husand George of Machipongo, Virginia.; a son, Carl G. Allums and wife Karen of Exmore, Virginia.; a brother, Paul Allums; a sister, Ellen A. Mann both of Dora, Alabama, three grandchildren, Holly A. Hubbard of Smith Beach, Virginia, Zachary T. Annon of Machipongo, Virginia, and Kalyn E. Allums of Exmore, Va. Mr Allums was predeceased by a son, John Kirby Allums.

A graveside service will be held Sunday April 10, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. in Cape Charles Cemetery, with the Rev. James R. Rodden officiating. Should friends desire memorial gifts may be made to Capeville United Methodist Church, c/o H.H. Scott, Jr., 4301 Townsend Drive, Cape Charles, Virginia 23310
