Gay Parks Lassiter

Mrs. Gay Parks Lassiter, 76, wife of Jerry C. Lassiter and a resident of Capeville, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2007 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox. A native of Harborton, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Walter N. Parks and the late Enola Bull Parks. Mrs. Lassiter was retired manager for the Cape Charles Army & Navy Store for 23 years and a member of Capeville United Methodist. Other than her husband, she is survived by three children, Donald Sparrow of Townsend, Va., Michael Sparrow and his wife Mary Jo of Clearwater, Fl., Barbara S. Jones and her husband Robert of Exmore, Va.; a sister, Aileen P. Mitchell of Painter, Va., and 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 21st at 2:30 PM from the Capeville United Methodist Church with the Rev. DeWayne Duncan and the Rev. Dr. Robert E. Cooper officiating. A viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Cape Charles Cemetery.
