Gary H. Kelley, Sr.

Gary Hilton Kelley, Sr., 67, husband of Terry Colonna Kelley and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Girdletree, MD, he was the son of Anna Mae Tarr Ward of Exmore and the late Elmer R. "Toad" Ward. He served in the United States Coast Guard, was a retired waterman, and was a supervisor for Mountaire Foods. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Gary H. Kelley, Jr. and his wife, Sherry, of Exmore, Ann Marie Kelley-Moore and her husband, Larry, of Goldsboro, NC; one sister, Joan Kelley Bailey of Exmore; mother-in-law, Marian S. Colonna of Onley, VA; five sisters-in-law, Betty, Roxy, Malia, Donna, Flo; one brother-in-law, Michael; six grandchildren, Richard, Kelley, Darian, Kristen, Hunter, Gary III; and his beloved dog, Dusty. He was predeceased by a stepbrother, Randy Ward. A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with Pastor Jonathan Carpenter and Mr. Kemmie Dize officiating.
