Mr. Frederick Mackenzie Rux, 91, of the Hermitage in Onancock, formerly of Quinby, Va., passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox. A native of Portland, Conn., he was the son of the late Fritz William Rux and the late Catherine Mackenzie Rux. He was a member of Central Masonic Lodge #300 AF & AM, Little Pungo Ruritan Club, Exmore V.F.W. Post 4856, and the Exmore Moose Lodge #683. Mr. Rux was a United States Navy Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Helen Huber Rux of Onancock, Va.; two sons, Rowland Rux and his wife Pat of East Hampton, Conn., Rev. Bruce Rux and his wife Carol of Monroe, La.; a stepson, Douglas Huber of Maryland; a sister-in-law, Mary Rux of Red Bank, Va.; 6 Grandchildren, Patrick, RD, Tracy, Joshua, Christopher, and Stephanie; 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Doris Deforest Rux, a brother, Rowland Rux, and two sisters, Bertha Archer and Eleanor Stevens. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 18th at 11:00 AM from the graveside of Belle Haven Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The Rev. Bruce Rux and the Rev. Joe McKnight will officiate.
