Exmore, VA 23350
Fred A Camden, Sr., 86, husband of Nancy Doughty Camden and resident of Belle Haven, VA, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018, at his residence. A native of Bridgetown, VA, he was the son of the late W.H. Camden and the late Mary M. Camden. He was retired from Kellam Distributing and Propane Company and was the founder and owner of Camden Brothers, Inc; a member of Craddockville United Methodist Church, Exmore Moose Lodge #683, American Legion and the Eastern Shore Tractor Club. He was also a United States Navy Veteran.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by, a daughter, Theresa C. Adams and her husband, Sid, of Belle Haven; a son, F. A Camden, Jr. and his wife, Twila, of Belle Haven; a brother, F. Wayne Camden and his wife, Joann, of Pocomoke, MD; a sister, Mildred C. Rowe and her husband, Page, of Church Neck, VA; three grandchildren, Kelly Antrim of Painter, VA, Scott Hines and his wife, Emily, of Exmore, VA, and F. A "Tripp" Camden III of Washington, DC; four great grandchildren, Gabe Antrim, McKenna Rhatigan, Asher Hines and Bayleigh Rhatigan; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Sidney H. Camden and Willie Dale Camden, and a sister, Eunice C. LeJeune.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverends Rob Kelly and Doug Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Shore Christian Academy Building Fund, 11624 Occohannock Rd., Exmore, VA 23350.
