Francis Wilson, Jr.

Francis "Frank" George Wilson, Jr., devoted husband of the late Carol Ann Ott Wilson for 52 years, passed away at his residence in Jamesville, VA on Sunday, December 8, 2024. He was the son of Francis George and Zena Wilson of Absecon, New Jersey. 

In 1974, this New Jersey native relocated to Virginia Beach due to his career in the Navy. He excelled scholastically, earning 2 master’s degrees during his military service. He started his naval career as an enlisted man, but soon became a warrant officer, retiring as a CWO4. He enjoyed watching classic movies, traveling, visiting Disney World, was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Dallas Cowboys fan and had an amazing sense of humor. He moved to Jamesville in late 2023.

Frank is survived by the children, Michael Wilson of Jamesville, VA, Christine Wilson-Huether (Bobby Carroll) of Pungoteague, VA and Deborah Highsmith (Olivia) of Camden, NC; three grandchildren Caleb Roberts (Mary), Joshua Roberts and Zachary Highsmith (Makaila); and one great grandchild Augustus.
