Francis Chase Duer, Jr.

Mr. Francis Chase Duer, Jr. better known as "Frank", 70, of Yorktown, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Sentara Care Plex Hospital in Hampton, Virginia. He was the son of the late Francis C. Duer, Sr. and the late Billie Atkinson Duer. He was a retired Insulation Contractor. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Stoakes Duer, five children, Karen Duer Potts and her husband Rick of Richmond, Va., Francis Chase Duer III and his wife Carmie of Painter, Va., Nathan Kirk Duer and his wife Sonya of Ashland, Va., Chase Duer and his wife Lisa of Atlanta, Ga., Andrea Duer Holmes and her husband James of Richmond; a sister, Charlotte D. Nicolls and her husband Willard of Nassawadox, Va.; 7 Grandchildren, 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by a son, Douglas Bryan Duer. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 16, 2007 at 11:00 am from the Graveside of Belle Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Joe McKnight officiating. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7 to 8:30.
