Frances Colonna Tomalonis

Frances Colonna Tomalonis, 75, wife of Vince Tomalonis Jr. and a resident of Onancock, VA, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Wachapreague, VA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Colonna and the late Florence Beasley Colonna. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Ricky L. Blankenship and his wife Angie of Melfa, VA and Sandra Lynn Bonner of Tazewell, VA; two stepchildren, Dwan Y. Tomalonis of Anchorage, AK and Vera E. White of Wasilla, AK; two brothers, Tommy Colonna and his wife Sue of Wachapreague, VA and Preston Colonna and his wife Carmen of Orlando,FL; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Kirkpatrick, Kimberly Patterson, Tabitha Beach, David Stevens Jr., Danille Huang, Thomas Peters, William Geary Blankenship Jr., Crystal Frances Brankley, and Sara Blankenship; 14 great-grandchildren, and a former daughter-in-law, Isabel Blankenship of Onley, VA. Mrs. Tomalonis was predeceased by a son, William Geary Blankenship, and two brothers, Roy Colonna and Ernest Colonna. A graveside service will be held Monday, May 16, 2011, at 1:00 PM at the Wachapreague Cemetery with Pastor Robert Madron officiating. Family will join friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Doughty Funeral Home.
