Frances Phillips Badger, 91, wife of the late Ike H. Badger and the late Granville P. Phillips and a resident of Nassawadox, VA, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at Heritage Hall Healthcare. A native of Willis Wharf, VA, she was the daughter of the late Elva Jefferies Clark and the late Maud Mae Watson Clark. She was retired from Gregg Harriet Shirt Factory, was a former member of Onancock Baptist Church and longtime member of Exmore Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Daniel Granville Phillips and his wife, Pat, of Willis Wharf; a daughter, Amy Maddox of Hallwood, VA; six grandchildren, John Labon Phillips, Dawn Parks, Frederick Ward, Merilyn Ward, William Daniel Maddox, Christina Thierfeldt; seven great grandchildren, Brandon Evans, Lane Parks, Rebecca W. Staub, Loralyn Ward, Dylan Ward, Sean Thierfeldt, Morgan Thierfeldt, Jackson Thierfeldt; and a great-great grandson, Thomas Lyle Staub. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lora Jane Ward. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Belle Haven Cemetery with Reverend Jonathan Carpenter officiating. Family will join friends at Doughty Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30 PM.
