Floyd Levin Smith, Jr., 60, a resident of Jamesville, VA, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Shore Health & Rehab in Parksley, VA. A native of Jamesville, he was the son of the late Floyd Levin Smith, Sr. and the late Barbara Smith Dickerson and the stepson of the late Douglas D. Dickerson. He was a self-employed tax preparer, member of Bethel United Methodist Church, interested in genealogy, and a lover of dogs having owned over 30 in his lifetime.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Fisher Smith; a sister, Brenda Sue Smith of Jamesville, VA; a brother, Paul A. Smith and his wife, Pam, of Chester, MD; and a special friend, Pat Williams. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Harry C. Smith, Sr., Margaret S. Grinnalds, Grover L. Lafferty, Sr., and Elizabeth Lafferty; brothers, Reese Boyer Smith and Daniel Floyd Smith; and his uncles, John Thomas Smith, Russell Allen Smith, Edward Lee Lafferty, Bartlett H. Lafferty, and George S. Whitman.
To honor his request no public service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SPCA Eastern Shore Inc., PO Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
