Florence Moore Lawson

Florence Moore Lawson, 84, wife of the late Robert L. Lawson, Jr. and a resident of Willis Wharf, VA, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 at her residence. A native of Willis Wharf, she was the daughter of the late E. Jeter and Lucy Guy Moore. Mrs. Lawson was a member of the Exmore Baptist Church and a retired postmistress for the Willis Wharf Post Office. Survivors include a son, Robert L. Lawson, III and his wife Ann of Bells Neck; a sister, Mary M. Kaczorowski of Willis Wharf; four grandchildren, Robert L Lawson, IV, Melanie Lawson Hintz, Dana L. Diamond and Jenna L. Thomas; four great-grandchildren, Jace Dennis Diamond, Evan Scott Diamond, Reghan Kathryn Hintz and Robin Thomas and a special dog companion, Forrest. Other than her husband, Mrs. Lawson was predeceased by a son, J. Guy Lawson. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 11, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the graveside of Belle Haven Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Carpenter and Mr. Kemmie Dize officiating.
