Florence Young Brimer

Florence Young Brimer, 97, of Pocomoke, MD, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Salisbury Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. A native of Gargatha, VA, she was the daughter of the late Gillie W. Young and the late Annie Hickman Young. She was a retired cafeteria manager for Worcester County Public Schools in Maryland, attended Bethany United Methodist Church in Pocomoke, and was a member of the Pocomoke Women's Club. She is survived by her nieces, Grace Lankford of Crisfield, MD, Florence M. Pickett of Ocean City, MD, Betsy Y. Whealton of Hampton, VA,Charlotte Y. Bolding of Modest Town, VA, Karen Saalbach of Hampton and a nephew, Kenneth Young of Richmond, VA. She was predeceased by a nephew, Milton Brimer, Jr. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 16, 2013, at 1:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Rev. John Cullop officiating. Interment will follow in Parksley Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
