Evelyn Belote Tarr

Evelyn Belote Tarr, 79, of Exmore, passed away Wednesday , December 15, 2010 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Exmore, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Mary Zena Davis Belote. Mrs. Tarr was a retired secretary for the Northampton Public Schools and a member of the Exmore Baptist Church. Survivors include four children,Larry J. Hicks of Exmore, Deborah H. Colburn and her husband Doug of Exmore, Sandy M. Hicks of Melfa, and Patty Ann Kilmon of Mastic, NY; a brother, Richard T. Belote of Exmore; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Tarr was predeceased by a son, Wayne K. Hicks and two brothers, William "Tank" Belote and James F. Belote. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore with Pastor Jonathan Carpenter officiating. A private interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends Saturday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
