Evelyn McCann "Judy" Pender

Evelyn McCann "Judy" Pender, 95, wife of the late Norman L. Pender and a resident of Onley, VA, formerly of Richmond, VA, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Quail Run Assisted Living in Nelsonia, VA. A native of Richmond, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. McCann and the late Ola Verell McCann. She was a lifelong member of Boulevard United Methodist Church and served as secretary-treasurer for over 20 years and was a member and past president of Brandon Woman's Club. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy P. Waller and her husband, Rick, of Onley; two grandchildren, Martha W. Simpson and her husband, Adam, of Melfa, VA, Amy W. Hartman and her husband, Jimmy, of Accomac, VA; two great grandchildren, Kristen and Anna Hartman. Mrs. Pender was predeceased by a brother, Joseph A. McCann. A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Richmond with Reverend F. Chancellor Hamilton officiating.
