Evelyn Budd Layne

Mrs. Evelyn Budd Layne, 95, wife of the late Robert S. Layne for 69 years and a resident of Exmore passed away Monday July 3, 2006 at her residence. A native of Pungoteague, she was the daughter of the late James Franklin Budd and the late Ethel Tipton Budd. She was a member of the Pungoteague United Methodist Church. She was active in the Accomack County Farm Bureau Women's Committee. Mrs. Layne is survived by a daughter, Carolyn L. Lawson and her husband William K. of Quinby, Va.; a son, Robert Lee Layne and his wife Margaret of Davis Wharf, Va.; 6 grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, and 8 Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at 11 AM from the graveside of Belle Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Carroll Huether officiating.
