Evelyn Harrison Christian

Evelyn Harrison Christian, 79, wife of the late Rupert C. Christian and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away on April 4, 2012 at her residence. A native of Hacksneck, VA, she was the daughter of the late William Harrison and the late Mary West Harrison. She was a retired teacher and coach with Accomack County Public Schools with over 40 years of service and a member of Exmore Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Susan J. Christian of Norfolk, VA and Julie Christian of Exmore; one sister, Jo Condon of Clarksburg, NJ; one brother, Frederick Harrison and his wife, Elizabeth, of Brandywine, WV; two grandchildren, Adam Golt and Sheverron Kratochvil; three great-grandchildren, Dawn Mears, Mariah and Selbie Kratochvil. Other than her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jessie Mears. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Belle Haven Cemetery with Reverend Jonathan Carpenter officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 6 at the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to S.P.C.A. Animal Shelter, P.O.
