Eve Penrod

Eve Leahy Penrod, age 67, of Hampton, VA passed away on October 31, 2023, in Gloucester, VA. She was born in Gloucester, MA and was the daughter of the late Francis “Frank” and Pauline Leahy. Eve is survived by her husband Ricky Penrod, her sisters Linda Reed and Anne Whitaker, her sons Adam Epstein (Tracy) and Kevin Epstein (Lindsay), her grandchildren Leah, Elias, and Benjamin Epstein, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Francis “Pete” Leahy Jr.

Eve was raised in Rockport, MA, and while she was the youngest of four children, she still said she was a big sister to her beloved nephew and niece, Scotty and Jill. She had a great sense of humor, a loving heart, and smile that could light up a room, and did. In her free time, you could find her riding on the back of the Harley, cruisin’ in her purple El Camino to car shows, or just sitting outside, watching the birds, drinking her coffee. She loved her sons, friends and family, and adored her three grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Mimi.”.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cape Charles Cemetery. Family will join friends at the funeral home on hour prior to the service.
