Esther Thomas Goble, 82, wife of Arthur J. Goble and a resident of Townsend, VA, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at her resisence. A native of Townsend, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward Elliott and the late Eleanor Travis Elliott. She was a former Cub Scouts Den Mother and member of Lower Northampton Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, John Edward Goble of Townsend, Danny A. Goble and his wife, JoAnn, of Harleysville, PA; two sisters, Elaine Elliott Wray of Townsend, Pauline Elliott Brady of Nassawadox, VA; three grandchildren, Ashley Marie Goble, Joshua Michael Goble, Jacob Fisher Goble; and a great granddaughter, Jaelyn Rose Goble. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 2:30 PM in Capeville Masonic Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Conrow officiating. Flowers will be accepted.
