Emory Fosque Hurst, Sr.
August 6, 1928 — November 30, 2015
Emory Fosque Hurst, Sr., 87, husband of the late Jean Clark Hurst and a resident of Cashville, VA, passed away Monday, November 30, 2015 at Quail Run Assisted Living in Nelsonia, VA. A native of Cashville, he was the son of the late Carlton H. Hurst and the late Mary Hundley Hurst. He was a retired carpenter and contractor, member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church and the B.P.O.E. Lodge #1766.
He is survived by three children, Emory F. Hurst and his wife, Kathy, of Cashville, Jody H. Killmon and her husband, Danny, of Onancock, VA, Andrew K. Hurst and his wife, Susan, of Onley, VA; six grandchildren, Laura Thornton, Aaron Hurst, Patrick Hurst, Katherine Dennis, Anne Brown, Andrew Clark Hurst and three great grandsons, Michael Colona, Charles Colona and Ethan Dennis.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Onancock Cemetery with Reverend JoLynn Hart officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to S.P.C.A. Animal Shelter, Post Office Box 164, Onley, Virginia 23418.
