Elvin Richard Custis, Jr., 83, husband of Linda Coulbourne Custis and a resident of Belle Haven, VA, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013. A native of Craddockville, VA, he was the son of Charlotte Sturgis Custis of Craddockville and the late Elvin R. Custis, Sr. He was a retired farmer, businessman and a devoted member of Craddockville United Methodist Church; previously served on the administrative board and was a past Sunday school teacher. He served on the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation Board of Directors for 28 years, was a member of the Ruritans for 52 years, served as Delmarva District Governor, past president of Accomack County Farm Bureau, served on Accomack County Board of Supervisors and was a lifetime member of Exmore- Belle Haven Moose Lodge. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Elvin Richard "Richie" Custis III and his wife, Deanna, of Craddockville; a daughter, Wanda Annis Isdell and her husband, Fuzzy, of Belle Haven; a sister, Sue Custis Lewis and her husband, Jimmy, of Orange, VA; a brother, Russell S. Custis and his wife, Doris Mae, of Craddockville; four grandchildren, Erin Cole Isdell of St. Petersburg, FL, Dylan Trevor Custis, Chase Manning Custis, Sawyer Bryant Custis, all of Craddockville, and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held, Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Belle Haven Cemetery with Reverend Rob Kelly officiating.
