Elizabeth Richardson Wood

Elizabeth Richardson Wood, 96, formerly of Exmore, VA, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Chesapeake Place Assisted Living in Chesapeake, VA. Born in Mappsburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Cecil G. Belote and Grace H. Belote. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward L. Richardson and Frank Wood, her brother, Cecil F. Belote, and a step daughter, Doris Estelle Bulette. She was a longtime member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, Edward Richardson and his wife, Kay, of Virginia Beach, VA; step children, Wayne Wood and his wife, Barbara, of Florida, Betty Page and her husband, Bob, Kenneth Wood and his wife, Liz, and Rodney Wood and his wife, Anita, all of Maryland. The family expresses their appreciation to the loving assisted living staff at Chesapeake Place and the nurses at All Heart Hospice for their devoted attention and care. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 1:00 PM at Johnson's United Methodist Church Cemetery, 11175 Bayside Road, Machipongo, VA, with Rev. Tammy Estep officiating.
