Elizabeth Ward

Elizabeth Dae Lewis Ward, 85, wife of the late Austin Carroll Ward, Jr. and a resident of The Hermitage, formerly of Machipongo, VA, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. Born in Cheriton, VA, she was the daughter of the late Seymour Lewis Sr. and the late Mary Burnette Richardson. She is survived by her children, Austin Carroll Ward III, Michael Blair Ward Sr., Charles Manning Ward Sr., Richard Anthony Ward and Carolyn Dae Ward Gaskins, all of Machipongo; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ward is most noted for being the best mom and grand-mom ever. To honor her wishes, a private family memorial service will be held.
