Eleanor Collins Rippon

Mrs. Eleanor Collins Rippon, 88, wife of the late Severn Eyre Rippon and a resident of Cape Charles, passed away Friday, January 6, 2006 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox. A native of Townsend she was the daughter of the late John Henry Collins and the late Eva Smith Collins. She was a member of Cheriton Baptist Church and Past Worthy Matron and member of Northampton Chapter #2 O.E.S. She is survived by four sons, Gordon Eyre Rippon and his wife Olivia of Townsend, Va., Thomas Lee Rippon and his wife Meriam of Seaford, De., John D. Rippon of Capeville, Va., and George Smith Rippon of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 9, 2006 at 12:00 noon from the graveside of Cape Charles Cemetery with the Rev. Patricia Kellam officiating.
