Edwin Douglas Lampman Sr., 87, husband of the late Mary Lampman and a resident of Pungoteague, VA, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011 at his residence. A native of New Jersey, he was the son of the late Joseph Lampman and the late Eleanor Beble Lampman. He was a WWII U. S. Marine veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre. Mr. Lampman is survived by his companion, Mary Jean Saylor; five children, Lorette McNeil and her husband, Butch, of Atlanta, GA, Christopher Lampman and his wife, Janice, of Clermont, FL, Edwin Lampman and his wife, Donna Silk, of Onancock, VA, Mary Ellen Lampman of Clermont, and Frances Lampman of Washington, D.C.; nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He passed surrounded by his loving family and will be missed by all. Family will join friends Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore. A military service will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
