Mr. Edward Cecil Sturgis, 82, husband of Betty Belle Bundick Sturgis and a resident of Davis Wharf, passed away Wednesday September 13, 2006 at Heritage Hall Health Care in Nassawadox. A native of Davis Wharf, he was the son of the late Edward Sturgis and the late Vivian Ashby Sturgis. Mr. Sturgis was a retired division foreman for Delmarva Power and Light Company with over thirty-seven years of service.He was a member of Craddockville United Methodist Church, a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S Army Air Corps and received an Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with a Bronze Star, a Good Conduct Medal, and a WWII Victory Medal. Mr. Sturgis is survived by two sons, Todd Sturgis and his wife Kathy of Scarboroughs Neck and Ted Sturgis and his wife Leah of Craddockville, three grandchildren, Drew Sturgis of Scarboroughs Neck, Chase and Courtney Sturgis of Craddockvillle, one sister, Rebecca Smith of Easton, MD. He was predeceased by a brother, William Sturgis. A memorial service will be held Saturday September 16, 2006 at 11:00 am at his residence in Davis Wharf with the Rev.
