Edward David Silvia

Edward David Silvia, 56, husband of Bridgette Mears Silvia and a resident of Pungoteague, VA, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Frank Silvia and the late Mildred Lisbon Silvia. Before retiring, he was the owner of Eastern Shore Carpet. He was a member of the Danny Kellam Transplant Foundation. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David Silvia of Painter, VA, and Bobby Wilding of R.I.; two stepdaughters, Jacklyn Farlow of Exmore, VA, Mindy Farlow of Pungoteague; a stepson, Jay Farlow Jr. of Exmore; two brothers, Bill Silvia and his wife Pauline, Bobby Silvia and his wife Charlotte, all of Rhode Island; two sisters, Jeanne Whetstine of Boston, MA, and Patricia Myers of Texas; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Doughty Funeral Home Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Jonathan Carpenter officiating.
