Edward Earl Kellam, 80, husband of the late Maxine Elliott Kellam and a resident of Eastville, VA, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012, at his residence. A native of Bridgetown, VA, he was the son of the late Henry Kellam and the late Susan Diggs Kellam Spady. He was a retired Animal Control Warden for Northampton County and a member of VFW Post 4856, American Legion, and Exmore Moose Lodge #683. Mr. Kellam is survived by two children, Edward Timothy Kellam and his companion, Julie, of Eastville and Susan Ann Kellam of Virginia Beach, VA; a grandson, Jeremy A. Kellam of Virginia Beach; a great-granddaughter, Hayden Rose Kellam of Chesapeake, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and his beloved dog, Lexi. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at 2:00 PM at the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with the Rev. Jack D. Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at the Eastville Baptist Church Cemetery with VFW honors. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30.
