Edith Louise Brady Parker, 95, wife of the late Howard L. Parker, Sr. and a resident of Cheriton, VA, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 at her residence. A native of Oyster, VA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar R. Brady and the late Mary Beale Brady. She was a member of Travis Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by five children, Loretta Lewis of Cape Charles, VA, Catherine Spady of Cheriton, Janice Richardson of Cheriton, Jean Shanley of Cheriton, Steve A. Parker of Cheriton; two sisters, Mary Isdell of Cape Charles, Myrtle Crumb of Parksley, VA; 29 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five children, Mary Elizabeth Brady, Howard L. Parker, Jr., Harvey L. Parker, Douglas M. Parker, Clarence Parker; five brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Travis Chapel United Methodist Church in Oyster with Reverend Janet C. Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Cape Charles Cemetery. Family will join friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
