Edith M. "Liz" Brown, 73, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, she graduated from Eastern High School and for a time was a lab technician at Johns Hopkins Hospital. An avid gardener throughout her life, she was employed for a number of years as a Master Gardener for the Cobb County Georgia Extension Service. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, John R. Brown of Exmore, VA; two daughters, Joyce K. Brown of Atlanta, GA, Monica A. Brown of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Dianna Renard of Houston, TX, Marsha Mack of Baltimore and a brother, Daniel Mack of New Mexico. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Daniel E. Mack and her mother, Joyce Chaplin Mack. A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
