Earl C."Buddy" Rew

Earl C. Rew, better known as "Buddy", 83, of Deep Creek,VA, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Arcadia Nursing Center in Nelsonia, VA. A native of Deep Creek, he was the son of the late Rufus J. Rew and the late Hazel Allen Rew. He was a retired waterman. He is survived by a brother, John "Woodie" Rew of Onancock, VA; two nephews, James "Barry" Rew and his wife, Linda, of Onley, VA, and Robert E. Weir of Alexandria, VA; a niece, Karen Rew Windsor and her husband, Carson, of Cambridge, MD; two great-nieces, Erica Rew Lawson and her husband, Dane, of Melfa, VA, and Hannah Weir of Alexandria; a great-nephew, Joshua T. Weir of Washington, DC; and a great-great nephew, Ryan N. Lawson of Melfa. He was predeceased by three sisters, Thelma Rew, Alma R. Bundick, and Mabel Weir. A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Onancock Cemetery with the Rev. G. Wayne Parsley officiating.
