Mr. Earl Presley Curling, Sr., 81, husband of Alice Belote Curling and a resident of Cape Charles, Virginia passed away at his residence on Sunday, December 11, 2005. He was the son of the late Earl Ashwell and the late Annie Smith Curling. He was a member of Capeville United Methodist Church. A U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, he served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater in the 1st Cavalry Divison, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Other than his wife he is survived by three children, Sharon Curling Bauer and her husband Richard of Glen Allen, Va., Susan Curling Watts and her husband Dennis of Chesapeake, Va., and Earl Presley Curling, Jr. and his wife Janet of Chesapeake; two sisters, Linda Carlile and her husband Ray of Chesapeake, Margie Nicholson and her husband James also of Chesapeake; five grandchildren, Adam Curling, Allison Watts, Rebecca Watts, Kim Bauer, Kevin Bauer. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at 11:00 AM with Military Honors from the graveside of Capeville Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. DeWayne Duncan and the Rev. Jack D.
