E. Burton West, Jr.

Mr. Edward Burton West, Jr., 75, husband of Eleanor Rowe West and a resident of Concord Wharf, Virginia passed away Saturday August 19, 2006 at his residence. A native of Quinby, he was the son of the late Edward Burton West and the late Mildred Killmon West. Mr. West was retired district manager for the Divison of Motor Vehicles in Onancock, having thirty one years of service, a U.S. Coast Guard veteran and a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. Other than his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Denise W. Gunther and her husband Larry of Norfolk, Va., a brother, Terry A. West and his wife Hazel of Hallwood, Va. and six grandchildren; Lindsay, Jacob, Matthew, Evan, Kendyll and Elena Gunther all of Norfolk. Mr. West was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Marie West. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday August 21, 2006 at 2:00 pm from the Doughty Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Gunther, Rev. Michael Muender and Mr. Kemmie Dize officiating.
