Dr. Richard N. Hofmaster

Dr. Richard Namon Hofmaster, 91, husband of Doris Mears Hofmaster and a resident of Belle Haven, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2006 at Shore Life Care in Parksley. A native of Fostoria, Ohio, he was the son of the late Harry Hofmaster and the late Clara Sickles Hofmaster. Dr. Hofmaster received a Bachelor of Science and Ph.D from Ohio State University and was a retired entomologist for Virginia Truck Ornamentals Research Station in Painter, VA. He was a member of Belle Haven Presbyterian Church and Exmore Moose Lodge #683. Other than his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Donna G. Kaufman & her husband George of Waterford Works, NJ. and a brother in-law, Harry M. Mears and his wife Edna of Belle Haven. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 8, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore with the Rev. Donald Broad officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery.
