Dot Colson

Dorotha “Dot” Colson of Eastville, VA, went home to Jesus on June 8, 2022, at the age of 82. She was born to the late Frank and Thelma (Fisher) Lodge on September 20, 1939, in Philadelphia, PA. She was raised in Southern New Jersey where she met her husband, the late Phillip R. Colson, and married June 22, 1957. She was retired from C&E Farms, Inc.

Dorotha was a member of Cheriton United Methodist Church and had an unwavering faith in God. She enjoyed farming, traveling to Florida, NASCAR, puzzles, solitaire, but most of all being a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother.

Dorotha is survived by four children, Robert “Bob” (Sarah), Mark, Donna, and Denise Colson; five grandchildren, Ian, Justin and Jessica Colson, Corie and Casie Hutchison; and four great grandchildren, Ashley, Katie, and Eric Colson, and Hermione Monroe.

A celebration of life service will be conducted August 13th, 2022, at 11:00 AM St. Johns Methodist Church Harrisonville, NJ  805 Eldridge's Hill Rd. South Harrison Twp., NJ 08062 formerly 3 Main St. Harrisonville, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Johns Methodist Church Harrisonville, NJ  805 Eldridge's Hill Rd. South Harrison Twp., NJ 08062  or Cape Charles Christian School, 237 Tazewell Avenue, Cape Charles, VA 23310.

Dorotha was a beautiful woman both inside and out. She will be dearly missed.
