Dorris Lindsey Barnett born in Washington Wilkes, GA, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022, in Nassawadox, VA. Dorris was a long-time resident of her hometown of Greensboro, GA. She was the daughter of the late Walter Lindsey Jr. and Margaret Lenore Robertson Lindsey of Greensboro, GA.
Dorris was a loving mom to her daughter, Kay Lewis, of Cape Charles, VA; and her two sons, Jimmy Epps of Greensboro, GA, and Richard Adamson and his wife, Cynthia, of Eastham, MA.
Dorris adored her grandchildren, Kimberly Carpenter, Alan, Zachary and Noah Lewis, all of VA, Jimmy "Boot" and Shelby Epps, and Ricky Adamson, all of GA, and James and Kendra of MA; Dorris is also blessed with 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Dorris is survived by her siblings, Hoyt Lindsey and Carlene Noggle of GA, and Susan West of KY. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Lindsey, Roy Lindsey, and Buddy Lindsey; a sister, Betty Lindsey; and treasured granddaughter, Laura "Sissy" Epps.
A graveside service will be held at Old Greensboro Cemetery in Greensboro, GA, on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 11:00 AM, with Grandson Zachary Lewis of PA, officiating. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
