Dorothy Wimbrow Nottingham

March 29, 1930 — March 16, 2015

Dorothy Wimbrow Nottingham, 84, wife of the late John O. "Jack" Nottingham and a resident of Belle Haven, VA, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Worcester County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Maurice Wimbrow and the late Mattie Dennis Wimbrow. She retired as office manager for Virginia Department of Transportation, was formerly employed by Virginia State Police, University of Delaware Cooperative Extension Service, Exmore-Willis Wharf Elementary School and a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, John O. Nottingham, Jr. of Raleigh, NC, Steven M. Nottingham and his wife, Lynn, of Exmore, VA; three grandsons, Geoffrey L. Nottingham of Exmore, Michael A. Nottingham of Exmore, Dustin E. Hardstock of Ashland, VA; one great grandson, Harrison Hardstock of Ashland and three nephews, Maury Wimbrow of Berlin, MD, David Wimbrow of Lewis, DE and Dick Nottingham of Virginia Beach, VA. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Belle Haven Cemetery with Reverend Mikang Kim officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to S.P.C.A. Animal Shelter, Post Office Box 164, Onley, VA 23418. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.doughtyfuneralhome.com Arrangements were made by Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore, Virginia.
