Dorothy Ward Anthony

Dorothy Ward Anthony, 93, wife of the late George W. Anthony and a resident of Quinby, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005 at Heritage Hall Health Care, Nassawadox.

A native of Quinby, Mrs. Anthony was the daughter of the late W. Frank Ward and the late Lillian White Ward. She was a retired clerk for Bundick's Department Store in Painter. She was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church and Mildred Stephenson Chapter #117 Order of Eastern Star.

A funeral service was held Friday, Jan. 28 at 2 p.m. at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church. Rev. Sallye E.H. Bowen officiated. Interment was in Quinby Cemetery, Quinby.

Mrs. Anthony is survived by several cousins. Memorials may be made to Smith Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. Anna Warren, P.O. Box 316, Parksley, VA 23421.
