Doris Suits Harper

Mrs. Doris Suits Harper, wife of the late James Thomas Harper and a resident of Cheriton, Va., formerly of Norfolk, passed away Friday, May 23, 2008 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox. A native of North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James Daniel Suits and the late Lillian Agatha Clark Suits. She was a retired secretary and bookkeeper. Mrs. Harper is survived by two daughters, Joyce H. Shockley and her husband Bill of Cheriton, Va., Linda H. Wallis and her husband Bill of Elyria,Ohio; two sisters, Norma Hartley of California, Mary Lewis of Richmond, Va.; and a brother, Vernon Suits of Kinston, N.C.; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the graveside of Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk. Family will join friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home.
