Doris Polliard Doughty

Doris Polliard Doughty, 88, wife of Clifton H. Doughty and a resident of Willis Wharf, VA, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Onancock, VA she was the daughter of the late Robert Polliard and the late Millie Koskey Polliard. She retired from Verizon as a Branch Superintendent and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Samuel Wayne Doughty and his wife, Cheryl, of Salisbury, MD, Greg Nixon and his wife, Vicki, of Dolphin, VA; four grandchildren, Samuel Wayne Doughty, Jr. of Nashville, TN, Rebecca Lee Doughty of Nashville, Paul Nixon and his wife, Christy, of Richmond, VA, David Mitchell of Richmond; and two great grandchildren Landon Nixon of Richmond and Makaylah Nixon of Richmond. A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 3, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Mount Holly Cemetery in Onancock with Rev. R. Michael Muender officiating.
