D.L. Ross

September 3, 1920 — October 10, 2010

Davy Lee Ross, better known as Dave, 80, husband of the late Cherie Ann Coffman Ross and a resident of Eastville, VA, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Heritage Hall Healthcare. A native of Mount Jackson, VA, he was the son of the late Noah Moore Ross and the late Goldynne Clanahan Ross. He was a retired Special Agent for the Virginia State Police, a member of Cheriton United Methodist Church and past board member, Broadwater Masonic Lodge #71 AF & AM, past Master of Northampton Lodge #234, past DDGM of 13th Masonic District, past Worthy Patron of Northampton Chapter #2 Order of the Eastern Star, past Grand Officer of the Grand Chapter of OES, past president of the Cape Charles Rotary and member of the VFW Post #56. Mr. Ross is survived by an uncle, B. E. Clanahan of Mount Jackson. Other than his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Dell Walters. A memorial service will be conducted Friday, October 15, 2010, at 2:00 PM at the Cheriton United Methodist Church with Pastor Lynda Moore, Rev. Phil Godwin, and Mr. John Kellam officiating.
