Dick Doughty

James Richard Doughty, better known as Dick, 80, a resident of Painter, VA, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Pungoteague, VA, he was the son of the late George Newton Doughty and the late Essie Killmon Doughty. He was a retired farmer, member of Craddockville United Methodist Church and member of Exmore Moose Lodge #683. He is survived by numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, George N. Doughty, Jr. and a sister, Louise Doughty Long. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Belle Haven Cemetery with Reverend Rob Kelly officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverside Shore Cancer Center, P. O. Box 17, Nassawadox, VA 23413.
