Deloris Carstens

March 29, 1944 — April 19, 2024

Deloris Ann Carstens “AKA Momma D”, 80, wife of the late Nathan William Carstens, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, Va. She was a native of Nassawadox, and resided in Cheriton, VA.  She was the daughter of the late Cecil Theodore Lewis Sr. and Delma Virginia OuttenShe was predeceased by her brother Cecil Lewis.

Deloris retired from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel Authority in Northampton County, VA. She loved playing bingo along with crocheting, fishing, needle work and cooking. 

Deloris is survived by her children, Johnny Carstens (Eve), Matthew D. Carstens (Bridgette), and David Thornes, a lifelong friend; 3 grandchildren, William Bruce Carstens, Joshua Matthew Carstens (Brittany) and William Caleb Carstens (Leslie), along with 5 great-grandchildren, Harley, Reylan, Eleanor, Clemintine, and Benedict. 

Service will be private, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cheriton Fire Department 21334 S. Bayside Rd, Cape Charles, VA 23310.
