Delores Locklear

Delores Bowen Locklear, 65, wife of the late Delton Locklear and a resident of Willis Wharf, VA, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Willis Wharf, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Grafton Bowen and the late Marion Simpson Bowen. Mrs. Locklear was a retired bookkeeper, owner of Sure Repairs and member of Exmore Baptist Church. She is survived by two brothers, Norris R. Bown, Sr and his wife, Ruthie, of Birdsnest, VA, Robin G. Bowen and his wife, Jeannie, of Exmore, VA; two sisters, Connie B. Reynolds and her husband, Darrell, of Franklin, NC, Brenda Bowen and her husband, Charles Butcher, of Ijamsville, MD; three step children, Kim Locklear of Greenville, NC, Jeff Locklear and his wife, Vanessa, of Melfa, VA and Chris Locklear and his wife, Melssia, of Tasley, VA. She was predeceased by two brothers, Gerald Bowen and Roland Bowen. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Belle Haven Cemetery with Reverend Jonathan Carpenter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to Exmore Baptist Church, 11624 Occohannock Road, Exmore, VA 23350 or to Hospice of the Eastern Shore,165 Market Street, Suite #3, Onancock, VA 23417.
