Deborah Roberts Gladstone

Deborah Roberts Gladstone, age 44, a resident of Raleigh, NC, died Thursday at her home. Born May 10, 1966 in Salisbury, Maryland, Debbie moved to Durham with her family in 1974. She graduated from Salem Academy, Winston-Salem, and also attended Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. Debbie had owned and operated Gladstone Granite and Flooring for the past several years, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Surviving are her parents, Donald Roberts and Nita Gay Hughes Gladstone of Durham, her sister, Julia Gladstone Serrato, and husband Jaime of Coral Gables Florida, two nephews, Tyler James Serrato and Caden Gladstone Serrato and her niece, Haley Alexis Serrato. Deborah will be remembered as the granddaughter of the late Dr. Joseph E. and Doretta Gladstone. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 PM in the Howerton & Bryan Funeral Chapel, Durham, NC, Rev. Taylor W. Mills officiating. Graveside rites and interment will be held Tuesday at 1:00 PM in the Belle Haven Cemetery, Belle Haven, Virginia.
