Dean Lee Parkerson

Dean Lee Parkerson, 53, of Keller, VA, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at his residence. A native of Belle Haven, he is the son of June Hopkins Parkerson of Keller and the late George L. Parkerson, Jr. Dean was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran and was a supervisor for Bagwell Enterprises. He enjoyed playing golf and Texas Hold'em poker. Other than his mother, survivors include his long time companion, Toni Thompson; two children, Dean Lee Parkerson, II and Crystal P. Brown, both of Charleston, SC; a sister, Donna P. Booth and her husband Harry of Heathsville, VA; a brother, Daniel H. Parkerson and his wife Sandra of Eastville, VA; and eight grandchildren, Zach, Briana, D.L., Jason, Christopher, Patrick, Destiny and Treyce. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 6, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore with the Rev. Patricia M. Kellam officiating. Interment will follow in the Hollies Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will join friends Thursday evening from 7 to 8:30 at the funeral home.
