David Thomas Prier

David Thomas Prier, 40, a resident of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Onancock, VA, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 at Wake Medical Center. A native of Onancock, he was the son of Barbara Prier Moore of Exmore, VA and the late Jerry Prier. David was a NASCAR and football enthusiast.
In addition to his loving mother, he is survived by a sister, Tammie Martin and her husband, Keith, of Saxis, VA; an aunt, Janice Prier of Onancock; a niece, Dana Parks and her husband, Vernon, of Greenbush, VA; a great niece, Madison Martin and a great nephew, Mason Parks. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Dixie Moore; sister, Kathy Prier; brother, K.J. Prier, grandparents Rev. Kenneth and Inez Prier and grandmother, Eva Lawrence.
A celebration of life service was held Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 1:00 PM at Exmore Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Carpenter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shore Christian Academy Scholarship Fund and Exmore Baptist Church Outreach Center, 11624 Occohannock Road, Exmore, VA 23350.
