David Kenneth Colona

David Kenneth Colona, 70, husband of the late Kathryn Dwight Colona and a resident of Southern Pines, N.C., died Wednesday, September 6th, 2006. He was the son of the late Gladys and Pete Colona of Capeville, Virginia. Mr. Colona was a 1958 graduate of Rutgers University. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 until 1963. He was stationed at Pope Air Field at Fort Bragg, North Carolina as a helicopter pilot where he met his wife who was teaching school on the base. He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Colona of Winder, Georgia and Ann Bennett and her husband Jon, of Amesville, Ohio and a sister, Barbara of Southern Pines, N.C. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 12th, at Belle Haven Cemetery at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Church Angelican, P. O.
